My October Favorites
Happy Tuesday! Can you believe that it is almost November!? Where on earth has the time gone?? October is my favorite month and I'm so excited to share a few of my favorite things from this month with you today!
So I'm super into the embroidered thing going on in fashion right now, but I'm not brave enough to go all out on it, so I bought some shoes with a hint of embroidery! They're so cute and honestly oddly comfortable. They are great for dressing up a pair of jeans and sweater. They run true to size and are only $30! Say what!? You're welcome in advance for this! ;)
Okay, I love sweater weather! Probably because most sweaters feel like you're wearing a cozy blanket all day. Now this sweater that I'm about to share isn't one of the blanket hugging you kind of sweaters... This one is... embroidered! I told you guys I'm digging this fashion statement this season! Anyways, this sweater is definitely more for looks than for warmth, but in Texas let's be real we need more of those because if we wore the blanket ones we'd die of heat stroke this time of year! Haha!
Favorite skin care Product
So I have used Neutrogena's make up removing wipes for years... like since I was 16, but I was tired of having to wipe off my makeup and then use my cleanser every night before bed. (yes I'm that lazy!) So I decided to try the Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water and ya'll game changer!! Every night before bed I use this to wipe off all my make up and cleanse my skin. I bought the one for oily and sensitive skin because mine is both. I haven't had any rashes or breakouts which is super common for me when I change products! I would 100% recommend to anyone!
So Upper Room came out with a new EP and it has been on repeat in my life. I just love the heart of their worship. You can tell their songs come from a deep revelation of who the Father is and that is portrayed in their songs. My favorite off their EP and one I will be adding to my worship set Nate and I lead once a month is "Not One Thing" by Meredith Mauldin. Go do your Spirit a favor and listen to this and let it speak truth back into your heart!
"I will sing the Lord’s praise for he has been good to me." Psalm 13:6
This verse has been one of my favorites for a while. Actually when Nathan and I were trying to decide if we should move apartments or stay where we were I felt the Lord tell me to look up Psalm 13:6. I thought this was odd because the apartment we were praying about moving into was #136. He said this would be verse for our apartment. That this new apartment would be a place of worship. In this season I've regained my song. I've been reminded that God doesn't change when my seasons or circumstances do, so in turn He is always worthy of praise!
Favorite Feminine Product
Let's be real, all women need feminine products and if that makes you feel awkward you can pass by this one, but I have found something amazing and wanted to share with others! I found some tampons that first of all have the cutest branding, which is honestly what caught my eye in the first place. But these are made from organic products so you aren't sticking some random harmful chemicals inside your body. My favorite part though is that for every container you buy the company gives a container to a woman in need. I've always as a woman thought about how embarrassing and awful it would be to have to go through life without having the proper feminine products each month, so as soon as I read this I. was. sold. Listen we all need these products monthly so might as well buy some ones that will help someone else out... Am I right!?
Okay ya'll I have been looking for a great, clean show on Netflix. I know there are tons of great shows out there, but honestly the last thing I want to do after a long day is watch a show that makes my spirit feel heavy. So if you are like this I have a great show to suggest to you. It's called "Call the Midwife". It's about a nurse he goes to be a midwife in one of the most impoverished parts of England. It's soooooo good ya'll! The message of this show is so eye opening and it makes you more aware of your surroundings and what others deal with on the daily. Do yourself a favor and add this to your watch list on Netflix!
So I started a new book this month that my friend, Michayla, suggested and holy moly it's so good! It's called Bridge to Haven by Francine Rivers (the same author as Redeeming Love.) This book captures your heart from the first few pages. Francine just has such a way of tugging at your heart strings. If you are looking to binge read a book (I mean when am I not??) get this book!
